Cackle Cackle – Nursery Rhyme

Plumes of geese were used to make pillows in those days. Here is a song that talks about such a collection. A child goes “cackle, cackle,” calling out to Mother Goose.

Cackle Cackle Mother Goose,
Have you any feathers loose,
Truly have I pretty fellow
Fluff enough to fill a pillow.
Here are quills,
Take one or two,
And down enough
To make a bed for you.
