Giraffe Rhymes

Giraffe rhyme & video for children to learn about giraffes. Watch this lovely kids rhyme on giraffes. They are long-necked and are known to prune the trees of Africa.

I’m the tallest, land mammal you’d ever see,

A giraffe, as peaceful as an animal can be,

Found only in Africa,

Roaming and grazing in the wild, free.

Against my beige skin is a patchy pattern brown,

Unique to each one of us for which we’re renowned,

My long legs, neck and tongue,

Help me eat the leaves high above the ground!

I’ve tiny knobs called ossicones on my head,

A mane of short hair running down my neck,

My tail is short and thin,

And has a bushy tuft of hair at the end.

We males practice ‘Necking’, a little neck fight,

It ends quickly but can give you a fright,

My kick can kill the jungle king,

Who tries to hunt my calf dreading my might!

Just two hours of sleep suffice for me,

But drinking water is a task for me,

I eat 40kgs a day,

Wouldn’t a sore throat be the worst thing for me?

Wouldn’t a sore throat be the worst thing for me?

Wouldn’t a sore throat be the worst thing for me?
