Learning the science of everything and anything has been the goal of many a thinkers for centuries. This does not pertain to just one civilization or age. A thirst for rationale for every awestruck moment on this planet must have begun since stone-age.

Sadly, questioning, experimenting and exploring are almost obsolete in learning methods. Children are often overfed with facts. There is little or no thought given to enable assimilation.

The need for quality science education is recognized world over. There is more emphasis on training teachers to adopt engaging methods to teach Science. Stoking interest is the way to go. There should be a spark of whys and hows flying across a classroom.

Microbes, plants, animals, earth, the sun, the sky, the whole vast space and multiple universes—there are endless objects of fascination.

 A little over a century ago, a school principal from Bronx, New York, Hugo Newman, recognized the need to make science education more explorative. (Newman, 1904, University of Chicago Press, pp. 192-202)
